Our President and Founder

Patricia Murphy Mello is President and founder of MSCI.  With more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications billing industry, Ms. Mello leveraged a strong knowledge of the esoteric intricacies of Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier's (ILECs) and Long Distance (LD) carrier's billing data as well as an established expertise in code and software development.  This unique combination of capabilities and qualifications resulted in MSCI being one of the first software development firms to market automated auditing tools for both service providers and business consumers to manage their inter-carrier invoices.

Ms. Mello has been called upon to partner with many telecommunication companies to produce customized software for revenue assurance resulting in savings for its clients into the millions of dollars.  Her ability to stay current with technology in conjunction with her involvement in the telecommunications industry enables continued strong growth for MSCI.

Prior to founding MSCI, Ms. Mello served as Director of Software Development for Network Plus, a $250m facilities-based integrated communications provider serving primarily small and medium-sized businesses located in major markets in the Northeastern and Southeastern regions of the United States.  In 1994, Ms. Mello was recruited to Network Plus and was involved in the development and implementation of its billing software to handle their rapidly expanding next generation product offerings.

Prior to heading to Network Plus, Ms. Mello was a key player at Highland Lakes Software, a telecommunications billing software company.  During her 13 year tenure, she held the positions of Manager of Product Development as well as Manager of Customer Support assisting in the design and coding of the software platform while managing both programmers and customer support personnel.  Ms. Mello led the design team and wrote the switch interface software and rating program for their billing platform. She was also responsible for customer installations and was on-site at over 50 telecommunications companies' sites to assist in their conversion to Highland Lakes billing system.

Ms. Mello attended the University of Texas at Austin where she studied computer science.
