Director of Technology

John Doucette is the Director of Technology and has been with the company since the Fall of 2002. He has over 18 years of experience in the Information Systems and Technology field as a Software Developer, Sales Engineer, Product Manager, and Consultant. Along with his leadership roles in Consulting, Accounting, Industrial Manufacturing, and Military Industries, he has experience with software manufacturing companies.

Prior to joining MSCI in the Fall of 2002, John was the Sr. Sales Engineer at a Cambridge-based software company delivering a billing system solution to the Energy Utilities marketplace.  His expertise in the world of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) was a contributing factor in his work with this de-regulated industry.

Before returning to work in the Boston area, John was the creator of an EDI solution used as the central Billing Operating System for an Industrial Distribution Franchise known as iPower Distribution Group, based out of Cleveland, OH. From 1994 -2000, his team deployed 19 systems to a new and innovative distribution network encompassing over 300 Independent Industrial Distributors throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Great Britain and Norway. The underlying transaction sub-system was designed using EDI ANSI X.12 and had an annual run-through rate of over $300 million.

In the past year, John has been responsible for upgrading the current release of MSCI's Local Audit Software for UNE enhancements as well as implementing customer-driven improvements.

John attended Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH as a computer science major. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force and completed his tour of duty as a Captain in 1990.
